Argireline research, since Snap-8 has none of its own
The first two studies below concern Argireline, the peptide it is based on, not Snap-8. A 2002 paper on Argireline included a 30 day study in women that measured the depth of their lines, along with lab tests on the signal that makes muscles tighten.
A 4 week study in China in 2013, with 60 people, compared Argireline with a placebo and measured skin around the eyes. Both studies were short.
Just one PubMed paper mentions acetyl octapeptide-3 by name: a 2020 skin study of a product that combined it with a handful of other ingredients and lacked a comparison group, so it tells us nothing about Snap-8 on its own.
